Making a contract with us
When you select the goods which you wish to purchase and complete your details and submit them to us by clicking the “Make the Order” button you are offering to purchase these goods at the price shown on the Website subject to these terms and conditions.
The contract for the sale by us to you of the goods is completed when we send to you our confirmation of order by email.
In order to buy goods from us through this website you must be at least 18 years old. We reserve the right to decline to enter into a contract for the sale of goods to you.
All prices advertised are inclusive of GB VAT at 20%.
Payment is made by credit or debit card, excluding American Express. We do not accept cheques.
If you choose to pay us by credit/debit card you will automatically be transferred to the Sage Pay secure server. Sage Pay will process your card payment transaction in a highly secure environment using 128 bit SSL Encryption. Sage Pay is a fully approved payment processor with all major UK acquiring banks. At no stage are your card details notified to us. Upon completion of your payment, you will automatically return to our website.
Deposit for C1 kit
Paying the deposit of £99 means you are entering into a purchase contract with Modern Times Ltd for a Cytronex C1 kit – full price £945. The deposit is part payment of a bespoke product and is non-refundable unless the company fails to supply the product, either within 6 weeks* of paying the balance or within 6 months* of the date the deposit is paid, whichever is the later. If the company fails to supply as described then there is the opportunity of refund by emailing email@example.com or writing to Cytronex, 7 Bridge Street Winchester SO23 0HN within 14 days of the above dates. You need to make it clear that you are cancelling the order and why and request the refund. The refund would be made within 14 days to the card you paid by.
The balance will be due 4-6 weeks before the product being supplied at which time other items like a new bicycle and accessories including lighting can be added to the order. At this time you will be requested to supply necessary details in order to complete the order. If you fail to supply these details, or full payment, or both, within 14 days of these being requested, Modern Times Ltd reserves the right to cancel your order and you will forfeit your deposit. If on submitting the details for the bike you wish to fit the kit too it is found that your bike for whatever reason is not suitable for the Cytronex C1 Kit you will be notified as soon as possible, and have the opportunity of asking for a refund or purchasing a new bike.
*these dates are for UK customers only, customers from EU and further afield are recommended to contact firstname.lastname@example.org for estimated supply times.
Delivery is chargeable according to the size of your order and where it is being despatched too, this will be confirmed at the time of paying the balance of the order. Once your order has been confirmed by us and payment completed, your Goods will be despatched to you accordingly – usually within 14 days (please note Cytronex is a bespoke product which is made to order) or if only non-Cytronex products have been ordered despatch would normally be within 2 working days unless advised otherwise. Customers will be contacted by email if their order cannot be dealt with within the timings given. If for whatever reason the Goods which you have ordered are not available, we will inform you as soon as possible.
Delivery times are not guaranteed. If delivery is delayed due to any cause beyond our reasonable control, we will contact you to make an alternative arrangement for delivery. A signature is required for delivery.
If your order once confirmed as despatched, has not arrived after 14 days (UK mainland) or 21 days (elsewhere) please contact us as soon as possible.
If goods have been damaged in transit please make sure you tell the courier immediately and record it with them at time of delivery, ideally taking a photograph. Then please notify us immediately by email email@example.com or phone +44 (0)1962 866122.
Cancellation of Orders
Cytronex C1 is a bespoke product tailored to your bike from the information you supply at the time of order. You therefore do not have a statutory right to change your mind after placing the order, however if you make a mistake with any of the information or wish to change your order, you must contact us immediately. We reserve the right to make an additional charge in the event that it’s still possible to change an order detail, to cover any extra costs incurred our end. This is entirely at our discretion and does not affect your statutory rights.
For non-Cytronex products you have the right to cancel within 14 days of the order or receiving the goods, providing you let us know in writing or by email including the following information which is also available on our standard cancellation form which you can use if you prefer (see below*). Name, address, order number, description of item, quantity. We will accept back items under these circumstances for full refund providing they have – not been inspected or handled more than would be usual in a shop, they are in their original condition and packaging, and they are returned at your cost within 14 days of your notification that you are cancelling. We reserve the right to reduce the amount of refund given if the item is damaged whether by use or by not packaging it correctly for return.
Damaged or Faulty on Delivery
If goods have been damaged in transit i.e. packaging damaged, please make sure you tell the courier immediately and record it with them at time of delivery, ideally taking a photograph or in other ways evidencing the damage. Then please notify us immediately by email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone +44 (0)1962 866122.
You have the right to return a faulty item for a refund or replacement within 30 days of receipt, after that and within 6 months we will do our best to repair or replace a faulty item. Please keep the warranty information that accompanies your item as this may be needed should there be a fault. In the unlikely event that you have a faulty item, please email us as soon as possible at email@example.com or write to us at the contact address above and we will contact you with the diagnostic and returns procedure as relevant. Please do not send us back any items until we have asked you to.
Goods damaged as a result of misuse or accidental damage will be subject to repair and re-delivery charges. The customer will be advised of all chargeable repairs before such work commences.
Changes to these Terms
These terms were last changed on 28th April 2017. These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply to future orders.
We do not sell on information to third parties. Personal information (e.g. name, address, telephone number, email address) provided by you will be used only for the purpose of completing your purchase, services related to your purchase and on occasion information directly related to your purchase.

Unwanted electrical equipment is the UKs fastest growing type of waste.
Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination – harming wildlife and also human health.
